Liquid waste is filling up the place
I don’t need a friend to
Fill my head with merchandise
Poor attempt for what I’m up against
Deep down like burning candles
That I can handle for some time
It’s just a smoking gun
Deliberate sounds
Signals calling you out
You could help me clear my head
Out from under the ground
Tell me what you found there
Even if I close my eyes
It all crawls into my head
Spit out what I’m fed
Genuinely a clever lie
50 percent meds
Hustle me until I’m dead
A fantastic album. I can see why they didn't continue under the name The Evens, as it's a different sound with the bass added. Coriky is the Evens + Joe Lally from Fugazi on bass. If you can imagine The Evens with a slightly more funky, aggressive sound like Fugazi... that's what you get! And there's no way that can ever go wrong. What a great debut album!! smiledozer

West Virginia trio showcase strident country rock anchored in bold, anthemic songcraft and deliciously twangy tones. Bandcamp New & Notable Feb 18, 2024
Dammit every track makes me smile. How did you do that? If a friend recommends this album to you, hang on to them because they're just as fabulously messed up as you are. I'd like to thank my bank for allowing me to buy things online again. Thank you. Everyone. Thanks. duskbringer
